Frequently Asked Questions
We want to ensure you have a great day with us!
Below are some questions we typically get, but if you have questions, please feel free to ask!
We recommend you bring something to eat, drinks (if you have something specific you’d like), sunscreen and anything else you think might make your day more enjoyable and comfortable.
Fishing trips have a great variety of fish, and they are all exciting to catch. To see what some of our other guests have caught, check out our gallery here on our website. You will have a good opportunity to catch amberjack, grouper, snapper, sailfish and wahoo. Other big game fish are possible as well, such as a king mackerel or even a shark.
Easy! YES! Fishing is a great way to spend time with the family and kids LOVE it! Our trips are definitely PG and safe for children of all ages! Don’t forget though, depending on their age, they may need to wear a life jacket for the whole trip.
We are a smaller boat. We do have a portable toilet for use, but don’t expect much privacy. You’ll want to use the restroom before we leave.
Yes! Every species of fish has a different limit. Our experienced crew will guide you and ensure your catch is legal and within limit. We will bring it back to the dock at the end of your trip and filet and clean it for you to take home.
When you book a trip with us, we take a 20% deposit. There is a lot of work to get things ready for your exciting day and we need 48 hours notice to cancel the trip. If you cancel prior to the 48 hour notice we require, then you will get a full refund of your deposit. If you cancel with less than 48 hours before your trip, you’ll forfeit your deposit. In the event of inclement weather (at the Captains discretion) we will reschedule OR provide a full refund.
All bookings require a 20% deposit to confirm the trip. The remaining 80% can be paid in person at the dock to the Captain upon arrival. Cancellations more than 7 days prior to the trip will be refunded in full. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the confirmed trip date will forfeit your deposit at the discretion of Time Off Charters.
We recommend if you are prone (or not sure) to seasickness that you take a Bonine or Dramamine (available at Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, etc.) the night before and the morning of your trip. If you are on a Private Charter, we can always return when you want.
Tips aren’t included in charter prices. The mates work for tips and will ensure you have an amazing time while you are with us.
